NHS Wales

Together with the Welsh Government and Community Pharmacy Wales (CPW), NHS Wales is responsible for the development of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF); supporting delivery of the NHS Long Term Strategy. A significant portion of this strategy involves the commissioning of NHS Pharmacy Services and making better use of the skill mix of pharmacy teams. NHS Wales is responsible for the commissioning of NHS Pharmacy Services. Commissioning is the continual process of planning, agreeing and monitoring services. It encompasses service design, contract negotiation and monitoring.
