Data Security and Protection Toolkit 2024

On 12/02/24 NHS England published the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) submission requirements for 2024. The DSPT must be completed by all contractors on an annual basis (Contractual Requirement). It provides assurances to the NHS, regarding your compliance with information governance standards.

The toolkit consists of a total of 78 questions, only 42 are mandatory (you do not have to complete the optional questions). The questions are aligned with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Ten Data Security Standards produced by the National Data Guardian. This document describes the steps you should take to ensure that you comply with the requirements. The deadline for completion is 30/06/24.
