NHS Scotland
Together with the Scottish Government and Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS), NHS Scotland is responsible for the development of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF); supporting the NHS Recovery Plan. Part of this plan involves the commissioning of NHS Pharmacy Services, at a national and/or local level according to the health-needs of the population. NHS Scotland is responsible for the commissioning of NHS Pharmacy Services. Commissioning is the continual process of planning, agreeing and monitoring services. It encompasses service design, contract negotiation and monitoring.
