NHS England
Together with the Department of Health & Social Care and Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC), NHS England is responsible for the development of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF); supporting delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan. A significant portion of this plan involves the commissioning of NHS Pharmacy Services, at a national and/or local level according to the health-needs of the population. NHS England is responsible for the commissioning of NHS Pharmacy Services. Commissioning is the continual process of planning, agreeing and monitoring services. It encompasses service design, contract negotiation and monitoring.
